I have a prayer request for some people that I know. I don't know them very well but my husband grew up in the same town as the men who were in the accident. I also grew up in the same town as one of their wives. So please read the story below and say a little prayer for them. You can also check out the blog dedicated to their recovery and has updates posted. The story goes as follows:

Yesterday, brothers Trey and Tyler Thompson jumped in a pick-up with friend Keith Cypert, a Munday High School student, to check on a grass fire on one of their ranches. They left the church (they were gathered for a retirement celebration) and raced to the scene of the fire not knowing that they were about to become part of another scene.

As Tyler, Keith, and Trey approached an intersection just south of Rhineland, an eighteen wheeler with malfunctioning brakes crossed the highway. Unable to avoid a collision, Trey, Tyler, and Keith swerved but instead hit the fuel tank of the semi-truck. The impact pushed both vehicles off the road into a wheat field. Incredibly, Keith, the only one not injured, was able to free himself and rescue Trey from the wreckage. The driver of the semi then assisted Keith as he went back into the burning truck to save Tyler who was on fire.

Immediately after they were rescued, both the pick-up and the semi exploded setting the field on fire.

We know that Tyler, Trey, Keith, and the truck driver were spared by the gracious hand of God Almighty.

The local fire department and emergency services sped to the scene. The emergency workers-all friends of the Thompson family-- arrived to administer medical aid and prepare them for transport by ambulance.

Meanwhile, Trey and Tyler's wives, parents(Cindy and Larry) and family members arrived on the scene. Both men were severely injured. But no one would know for sure the extent until they were taken to the hospital. Careflight was dispatched.

At Knox City they determined that Tyler had third degree burns over about 30% of his body, a badly broken leg, and other lacerations and injuries. Trey sustained a broken left arm, a fractured skull, and multiple injuries to his face. After being stabilized, both were air lifted to Lubbock's UMC.

Meanwhile, friends and family rallied together in prayer. Children were shuffled here and there and loving neighbors drove to Lubbock to support this dear family. No telling how many similar trips the Thompson's have made on the behalf of others in times like this...

The medical staff at UMC determined a plan of action for at least the near future. Tyler was admitted to the burn unit where he would received an operation to repair his leg. A large bar with pins was inserted from femur to ankle to keep his leg stretched straight. He is also kept sedated to help with pain and he is on a breathing machine due to smoke inhalation. Tyler's situation is dangerous because of the serious threat of infection. They say that Tyler will be in the burn unit at least 30 days.

Tyler is married to Tonya. They were high school sweethearts and now have 4 children. They have three girls and one boy born just this spring, Trevor. (Please pray for Trevor as well he has a breathing problem and just spent a couple of days in Cooks this last week.)

Trey underwent surgery for his broken arm this morning. Trey has many more surgeries ahead due to his facial injuries including breaking almost every bone in his face. Thank God, Ronda, Trey's wife, is able to be by his side much of the time. Trey and Ronda have 3 little girls as well.

We tell this story for those of you who don't know the Thompson family or what happened yesterday. We want your prayers and we want you to know more about these wonderful people that we love.

We also report this story for those of you who already know this family and want to know more or just want to know how to help. This will function as a hub to help inform everyone of any changes or needs. We simply want to create a centralized information point to help communicate prayer needs, keep friends and family informed, and to organized any type of help or aid we can muster. We hope to keep this updated according to every bit of news we hear.

Oh my poor poor pitiful neglected blog. I have neglected to post since January. OH MAN am I a bad blogger. Anyway, I've been working on numerous things. Oh man am I excited, tonight was the 3Scrapateers Secret Santa Chat. Well, I didn't get to make the chat but my gift from Kimmi Stewart is really cool. I like to make jewelry and so she sent me some really cool blue beads and an awesome set of jewelers tools in a zipper pouch. She also sent a few other AWESOME! She also sent me some smell good bath salts too.

This is what I sent to April Staker. It is an altered box. I used different scrapbooking papers, wooden letters, and Modge Podge on the box. On the envelopes I used rub-ons. The top photo is the front, the middle photo is a side view and the bottom photo is of the bottom of the box. Sorry, the photos really don't do it justice. Thanks again. Kimmi.

Hello, I am so excited to announce Hummie's World: DSD Tailgate Party

Due to my excitement about this I have a layout to share with you and a recipe too.

My layout is of my husband and I, my parents and my grandparents.

I used different items for both my layout and recipe card using items from the following people. I created the papers using commercial use items from Rina Kroes - Paper Templates; Brandie Valenzuela - Well Worn Overlays; Royanna Fritschmann - border template; Silvia Romeo's -Vintage Basics Kit, Stamp Collection, and Paper Templates. The bow is my own- recolored. Fonts used on my layout are Hurricane & Michaelmas. The font used on my recipe card is Marketing Script. I thought a recipe for Hot Chocolate Mix was very appropriate since Football season has started and Fall is just waiting to cool us off. So check out my recipe card. I'm going to contact Silvia Romeo and see if I can post it for you to download a printable version of it too! I only used her stuff in my recipe card. So, I'll have to see.

Yeah, I finally got a new kit into the store. I've had it done for a couple weeks but have been busy traveling and going different places.

My new page set is called Groovilicious. It is chock full of fun and exciting elements. The colors are so bright you'll need sunglasses to look at this one. I am looking for 5-8 designers who would be interested in making different charity & fundraising kits. Charity examples are Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society and more.

Fundraising ideas are just what comes up in my area needing funds or in your area. Currently I am working on a kit for our local theatre. The theatre is in need of some repairs and I thought doing a kit for fundraising and donating all profits from sales might help our theatre out.

I think I am going to have to come back to this blog. I am sick and tired of all the spammers that are trying to comment on my wordpress blog that I host on my site. Ohh, boy have I been a busy bee. I've been working split shifts and subbing in for others at work like crazy. It has been totally nuts. Okay, I am now over the devastation of my "True Colors" kit completely disappearing. I have been so busy with a new job and Christmas coming I haven't had much time to work on hardly anything digital scrapbooking related. Okay, I haven't added a post in a while so I thought I'd give a quick one. My site and the "True Colors" kit are on hold for the time being. The first reason is that I am hosting a party at my home this Friday for approximately 40 people. I have to clean, clean, clean. Second reason is on Saturday I am going to a birthday party this weekend. The third reason is I have finally gotten all the soccer photo order back and am having to finish those. My fourth and final reason everything is so crazy right now just before Thanksgiving, that I have to set some priorities to get sone things done around my house first. I really don't want promise anything right now because of all the craziness. Hang in there and maybe after Thanksgiving is over things will slow down enough for me to finish everything. Thanks for all your support it is greatly appreciated. Maybe if I get a free moment sometime by the end of this month I'll get a new freebie posted.

Okay, I had company today so my "True Colors" kit will not be released tomorrow but will be on Nov. 12. Family was here celebrating my oldest daughter's birthday. She turned 7 on the 2nd. She also won her soccer game today, 4 to 1.

Therefore, I didn't get to finish what I needed to since my company was here. That's okay though. Maybe instead of just having the one "True Colors" item I'll have more than one for sale on the 12th. Anyways, thanks for looking. When I'm ready to do some testing I'll let those of you who volunteered know. Thanks so much for your willingness to help. I greatly appreciate everyone's support. Okay, I took the plunge and bought some hosting for my domain. As of today I have very little on my site. Very, very little. LOL! I'm certainly not a digigenius when it comes to html, but am learning. My site is Just the Right Scrap by Pyralis Designs let me know what you think. Hopefully by the end of next week I'll have my mini-store set up. LOL. We'll just see how that goes with my lowly html knowledge. Okay, I looked up the lyrics to the song True Colors by Cyndi Lauper. Did you know that no where in the song is my exact wording for my word art. My exact wording does not exist any where in the song. I read it like a million times making sure. Do you think this would be copyright infringement if my wording is different than the actual lyrics? This is a long blog but bear with me it could end up being worth your while.

Today we finally got a new satellite. Yay, now we can actually watch TV after my daughter gets home from school. It was way screwed up but hadn't completely gone out yet. The company came and replaced it for us for free because it was a manufacturing error. We didn't have to pay a cent.
I am now working on a charity kit in which 100% of the profits from it will be donated to help with Juvenile Diabetes Research. One of my daughters little friends was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the beginning of the school year. He is only 6-years-old. At first he had some problems with it but is now doing really well. He was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes. Bless his little heart.
I need some suggestions for the kit and where to sell it. For selling I do have paypal, but don't really know how to work it. Below is a preview of what I have so far. I want the kit to be both girly and boyish but all I have in it right now is girly stuff. I need your suggestions. Okay, about a week ago while my oldest daughter was at school and my hubby was off we took our littlest two kids to the park. I of course had my camera in hand the whole time. Well, my daughter and I spotted some turtles and I asked her to point at them so I could take some pics of her looking at them. Well, I took several and she just looked so darn cute, saying "Turtles, Momma turtles!" When I got home I wanted to immediately take the photos off of my camera. So I sat down at the computer and did so. As I was looking through them I noticed something hilarious about one of the photos. In the background, of one of the photos of my daughter pointing at the turtles, is a lady, I have no clue who she is, bent over. When I saw this it cracked me up I was about to ROFLMAO. It is the most hilarious photo. I guess I should have remembered one of the photographers rules of the trade. MAKE SURE THERE IS NOTHING OBSTRUCTIVE IN THE BACKGROUND OR GROWING OUT OF YOUR SUBJECTS HEAD. I just had to make a blinkie out of it and another photo without the lady in the photo. Check out my blinkie.

Isn't that the funniest photo ever. It cracks me up everytime I look at it. I thought it might make someone else smile too! It's so funny.

Okay, Okay!! Alma tagged me a few days ago and I'm just now getting around to responding to her tag. It was to list 5 wierd things about me.

1. I hate absolutely hate to fold clothes.
2. I hardly ever, ever wear shoes. I only wear them when I have to go somewhere out of my house. I'm like Alma. I can't stand slippers.
3. I am so OCD about where things in my kitchen go but my house is never in order.
4. I'm addicted to watching Supernatural, Gilmore Girls, and One Tree Hill. (okay, that's not some thing weird but am addicted to it.)
5. OH, here's a wierd one. I love all the Disney movies and could watch them over and over and over and over. Well, you get the picture. I just love High School Musical.

I got so wrapped up in things yesterday that I never blogged so today I'm blogging and adding a new freebie. This Clip Quick was inspired by a layout by alb52 at scrapartist.com. Her layout that inspired me is located here. I thought her layout was so neat.

I vow that I will be better at blogging everyday from now on. HAHAHA!!! I may say this but there are some days that I just won't get to. Oh, I've so neglected my blogspot lately, since I just started it a few weeks ago. LOL. I am really in need of ranting so here is my rant for the day.
Today, I did a photo shoot of my daughters soccer team. Every thing went smoothly at the shoot, BUT. When I got home I really wanted to look at the photos I took so I put my card in my card reader and copied them to a folder on my computer. Once, I started looking at them I realized over half of them (at least 100) are blurry or something is wrong with them. I just want to bawl my eyes out. WAHHH!!! WAHHH!!! WAHHH!!! I'm so frustrated. Now, I'm probably going to have to reshoot over half of the photos I took. Taking up some of my very little free time and the other 9 team members time. IT MAKES ME SO MAD!!!! I wish my camera had worked right the first time. BOO HOO!!! Anyways, no one probably cares to know but I needed to rant so I'm ranting here. If you have any ideas on why my camera would all of a sudden take blurry, blurry photos when it has always taken clear crisp photos comment me, PLEASE. Is it the camera or the user? LOL. Does any one have any ideas? Well, that's enough for now. Talk to y'all later, yeah I'm Texan. LOL. I'll take any suggestions. I'm desperate.

Today, has been a very long day. I have been on the computer forever posting my layouts for Alma Townsend's creative team. I did five different layouts, each with a different kit of hers. The kits of hers that I used were Cherry-O, Baby Pie, Regal, Lovely Lilac and Romance. They are some awesome kits. Click the name of each kit to view it. It has been a pretty good day. I am such a procrastinator. I have been wanting to start a blog to share some of my stuff with others. It has taken me a month to finally start this. I am totally addicted to digiscrapping. So with my first blog entry I'm including a freebie. It is a page template based on one of my previous layouts of my son. I added a little bit to it in my template to spice it up a bit. I decided to make a template out of it thanks to a request at www.thescraphabit.com . Sharon Kay asked the question that encouraged me to do this in the forum located here . Below is the original layout of my son.
